Second Gear strives to sell high quality gear with high quality service. Our number one priority is making sure our customers are satisfied with their shopping experience.

If you ever purchase a product from us - used or new - that is dysfunctional in any way not already noted in the product description, we will issue a full refund and pay for your return shipping. 

 

Shipping Rates

Most orders over $75 qualify for FREE Shipping! 
(Items excluded from free shipping will be appropriately marked.)

Most orders under $75 ship for a $6 flat rate! 
(Items excluded from the $6 flat rate will be appropriately marked)

Some items in our inventory are only available for pickup at our store in Asheville and are not able to be shipped. These items will be clearly marked as "Only available for In-Store Pickup." Please take note of this before placing your order, as we will not be able to ship these items to you.

All orders will be shipped within 24 hours of purchase.  (Note: During our retail store closure orders will typically ship within 48 hours of purchase). Packages should arrive within 1 to 3 days after shipment. We will notify you if there are any delays. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as your order has shipped that will include tracking information. Please contact us at 828-258-0757 with any questions or concerns.

As a part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we do our best to use minimal packaging material and reuse boxes and materials as much as possible. We'll always package up your order with care!

At this time we do not offer an expedited shipping option. We may be able to make an exception and expedite your shipment if you contact us before placing your order.

 

Return Policy

We do accept returns, but with certain conditions.

  • We DO NOT pay for return shipping (unless there is a functional issue with a product as noted above).

  • Retail products may be returned within 7 days of purchase, provided they are returned unused and with packaging intact. You must pay for the return shipping and the initial cost of shipping will be deducted from your return. If the items you return are missing their packaging or have been used, we reserve the right to charge an appropriate refurbishment fee in order to make the item sellable again. 

  • Consignment products may be returned within 48 hours of receipt of your shipment. All refunds on consignment products will be given in the form of store credit, and will have the initial cost of shipping deducted from the refund amount. 

  • Products that are marked "Final Sale" are NOT eligible for returns.

  • If you aren't able to return a product, we always offer the option to re-consign it. View our consignment page for more information.

As a policy, we discourage returns on products that are not related to product quality. We do our best to inspect products thoroughly and post all neccessary information & pictures for you to make an informed purchasing decision. If you have a question or concern about a specific product, we invite you to call us at 828-258-0757 and talk to our staff about it before making your purchase. Please DO NOT send a product back to us without first contacting our staff.
