River Arts District Farmers Market, the only year-around weekday market in Asheville, is celebrating 25 years serving the Asheville community. Their mission is to foster community connection, resilience and a sustainable localized livelihood. They are also a local-producer only market hosting 40 vendors providing local produce, eggs, meats, sourdough breads and pastries, ferments, cheeses, natural body products and a delicious array of specialty foods and take-home meals every week.

In 2024, their market location along the French Broad was washed away in the floodwaters of Helene. A mere two weeks later they rallied to reopen at a temporary location to feed our neighbors (and secure income for their vendors) when lines were wrapping around grocery stores and shelves were sitting empty. This market exists to feed our community the very best of what our area has to offer, in times of abundance and in times of need.
