Do Good Deeds, Raise Good Money, Win Rad Prizes!
Second Gear and many other local businesses are working together to raise money for our fellow North Carolinians on Ocracoke Island that suffered lots of destruction due to Hurricane Dorian last month. Seven feet of water swept over the island from the sound side, incapacitating most vehicles and flooding nearly every structure on the island. Many small businesses and homeowners are left with very difficult decisions to make, and the island has effectively lost the back half of their tourist season. It will be several months before non-residents are allowed back on the island.
Thanks to the generous donations of local businesses such as Zillacoah Brewing, Asheville Pizza, Whist, Barrel House, The WALK, The Circle, French Broad Outfitters, New Belgium Brewing, and others – we have a GREAT roster of prizes to raffle off. PLEASE come by and purchase tickets. Each ticket is $5, $20 will purchase five chances to win all these prizes. 100% of proceeds will be donated to a charity directly assisting the residents on the island.
New Belgium was generous enough to donate an AMAZING brand spankin’ new version of their cruiser bike. This edition is built by Detroit Bikes and features an internal three speed hub. Come donate to the cause and win something fabulous!
Drawing will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd. Winners will be notified by email and phone. Donations of any amount are also encouraged. Second Gear employees and immediate family members are ineligible for prizes.
