Friends of DuPont Forest was created as the Friends of the Falls, a grassroots group who successfully campaigned to save the DuPont waterfalls from development in 2000. Friends of DuPont Forest is a nonprofit, membership organization that provides a unified voice for DuPont State Recreational Forest.
Did you know? DuPont Forest includes over 10,000 protected acres of land including 86 miles of hiking trails and numerous waterfalls all within a 40 minute drive of Asheville.

When you become a member of Friends of DuPont Forest, you’ll stay connected to events and volunteer opportunities. By joining, you are helping to support our efforts to preserve resources, educate our community, and create an enjoyable experience for visitors.
Friends of DuPont Forest will be tabling at Second Gear on Saturday, June 17th, from noon to 4 pm. They are excited to connect with our community and share their passion for preserving our shared outdoor spaces!
