So you’ve heard that Asheville is the whitewater capital of the US and now you want a piece of the action but don’t know where to begin. Join Second Gear with Jeff Makey as we go over everything you’ll need to get started. Learn about the different types of PFD’s (lifejackets), helmets, throw ropes and other essential gear. Find out what the different rapid classifications mean. Learn basic terminology and river features to look out for! This open discussion will be followed by questions and answers. The class will last about 30-45 minutes.
This clinic is FREE but space is limited so we ask that you pre-register by shooting us a message, giving us a call at 828-258-0757, or stopping by the store.
