Bring your gently used jeans & nonperishable food items to Second Gear on Saturday, October 21st from noon to 4 pm! Our nonprofit partner of the month, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, will be on-site collecting items to help folks in need get through the upcoming fall/winter season here in Asheville.
Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) exists to serve the homeless, poor, and addicted populations of Western North Carolina. As a nondenominational ministry, they meet people in crisis, focus on helping them at the point of their need, invest in their future, and help them until they can move forward.
Currently their Rescue services include; providing meals, food boxes, overnight shelter, showers and clothing. They also provide restoration services that include life counseling, job training and assistance with transitional services.
