Supporting Our Community
1% of ALL Sales Benefit our Nonprofit Partners!
Second Gear is proud to be an integral part of our Asheville outdoor community. Being consignment based, we rely heavily on locals as partners in our business, and we strive to give back to the community in many ways. In addition to participating in local fundraisers, hosting adoption days with Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, and donating to numerous raffles and silent auctions, we also choose a select number of nonprofit organizations to be our nonprofit of the month.
In addition to being featured on our website, our nonprofit of the month is showcased in-store and in our local advertisements, is invited to hold an event at our store, and receives as a direct donation a percentage of the sales for the month.

This Month's Featured Nonprofit
PIVOTPoint WNC- Therapeutic Wilderness Experiences
For the month of January, Second Gear is proudly partnering with PIVOTPoint WNC!
"We are organized for the purpose of nurturing a culture of connection and reminding individuals, particularly those in recovery from Substance Use Disorder, that they are not alone in their struggles. By raising funds and offering experiential services, we will support all individuals actively engaged in healing modalities and programs in experiencing the restorative properties of the natural environment. We will provide access to experiential service providers, aiding those in recovery by promoting a connection to nature and working in collaboration with other like-minded organizations to support the continuum of care for individuals living with Substance Use Disorder."
